DEVops/OS Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a DevOps/OS Engineer based in Vancouver, BC. The Dev/OS engineer will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the architectural design for the DevOps platform components. We are all about opportunities for collaboration and this role plays a key role in automating our platforms to increase collaboration between Ops and Dev and improve our overall processes and efficiencies. In this role you will gain exposure to all aspects of our business from live stream media to e-sports while supporting a global team and contributing to award winning games.
What You Will Do:
Find opportunities for greater automation of our operating platform
Work to standardize processes and create efficiencies that lend well to collaboration;
Deploy and monitor the AWS online system and be responsible for cloud service;
Boost the development efficiency and bridge the gap amongst Dev & Ops
Test, investigate, and resolve the pain points of the end-to-end delivery process.
Who You Are:
You are very comfortable expressing yourself and working with others in English;
You are legally entitled to work in Canada;
People often describe you as someone that takes initiative, is powered by drive, and enjoys collaborating;
You pride yourself on working hard but also believe in balance and fun;
You hold a Bachelors degree or above in Computer Science or something similar;
You have 3 years + of relevant experience as an AppOps Engineer or Ops Automation Platform Developer;
You are comfortable with Nginx, Tomcat, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Dockercompose, Rancher, k8s, Maven, Memcached, Redis and Mysql/SQL;
You are comfortable managing and maintaining Linux system; familiar with HTTP protocol and TCP/IP network protocol;
You are comfortable using Ops monitoring software such as Zabbix/Cacti/Nagios/ELK; able to plan, deploy and use the log management platform;
You have working knowledge of scripting language such as shell/awk/sed;
You have experience with deployment of management tools, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
Bonus points if you:
‘have Ops experience in cloud platform (Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud, AWS, etc.)
have knowledge of Docker container technology
can troubleshoot network delays, network timeouts and concurrent big data access issues
have written and/or oral working ability in Mandarin
