FreshPoint – Warehouse Loader & order picker (FT)
This is a warehouse position responsible for selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders, and delivering product to the dock or loading it on the truck in a safe and efficient manner. Job requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Stage pallets for loading on proper dock locations or in load assigned trucks.
· Hand select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer.
· Operate assigned wearable unit to create labels; correctly place labels on product.
· Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures.
· Shrink-wrap product on loading dock.
· Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment.
· Other duties may be assigned.
Required Availability
· Full time or part time; starting at 6am/7am
· Flexible to work shifts & Saturday, statutory holiday work required
Qualifications, Skills & Job Requirements
· Able to multi task, pick orders, load and unload produce in fast pace warehouse environment
· Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs; reach up to 72”; operating a pallet jack retrieving items from low or high shelf areas.
· Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
· Operate power equipment such as: forklifts, power jacks and power walkies. Will provide training.
· Positive attitude, team effort and punctuality will be maintained at all times
· Fluent English, knowledge of Cantonese/Mandarin an asset
