Job Description
The Acquisition and Sales Support team within TDI’s Mortgage Protection (MP) Product Team is responsible for developing and executing strategies and solutions with the objective of ensuring our customers are protected, while maximizing our sales performance and meeting business objectives by increase sales & conversation capabilities.

The team is accountable for the following:

  • Developing and executing programs, and strategies to support TD Protection Plan initiatives, improve sales capabilities and drive sales results in the distribution channels where TD Protection plans can be offered.
  • Deliver consistent Protection Plan experiences to our customers regardless of channel of origination through expert education and information
  • Working collaboratively and managing relationships with our channel and product partners to provide leadership and support for sales and customer experience strategies, process and procedure initiatives that improve acquisition and/or retention results.
  • Impacting and influencing our channel partners by leveraging data and analytics to identify acquisition opportunities and provide insight to meet common objectives, including driving sales capabilities & results and delivering legendary customer experiences.

Main responsibilities

Reporting to the Area Manager, Mortgage Protection Specialist, MP Specialist is responsible for providing direct Protection Plan sales support to Mobile Mortgage Specialists (MMS) and their customers in our key markets. The successful candidate must be skilled and knowledgeable about TD Protection products, MMS sales process, and be able to provide accurate and up-to-date information and ongoing support to our MMS partners and their customers.

The MP Specialist will be responsible for fielding channel inquires, contacting clients, and providing support through pipeline engagement activities aimed at enabling Protection Plan sales through the RESL origination journey.

Primary accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain proactive contact with Key MMS’ and their customers for the purpose of providing expert Protection Plan advice, upskilling the MMS, and achieving improved business results
  • Proactively participate & provide field insight & best practices during the development and execution of acquisition and sales support campaigns, initiatives and strategies
  • Act as the subject matter expert for TD Protection Plans and be able to assess the impact to our MMS channel for all process changes
  • Be the voice of our channel by soliciting their feedback and sharing it with the appropriate TDI business unit(s).
  • Contribute to operational improvements to streamline TD Protection procedures/processes within the MMS sales process

Requirements
Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

  • Outstanding presentation, facilitation & communication (written & oral) skills
  • Solid understanding of the PP value proposition – recent Branch Banking and/or MMS sales experience is a definite asset
  • Team player with exceptional relationship management and impact & influence skills
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proven ability to apply subject matter to support MMS individually
  • Solid understanding of credit protection insurance & RESL products and channel processes/systems – including understanding and influencing key metrics & drivers
  • Strong technical skills Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to adapt and manage within a fast-paced, dynamic business environment

Qualifications/Education

  • Sales Leadership experience (i.e. FA, MMS, ABM) and relevant experience managing relationships and delivering exceptional customer experiences
