Job Summary*
The equipment and maintenance technician will be responsible for the company’s equipment purchase, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and upgrade.
Responsibilities and Duties*
· Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of company equipment.
· Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks and goals to ensure safe and efficient operations
· Contact with the equipment vendors to find the root cause of the failed equipment and repair the equipment accordingly
· Contact with the equipment vendors for the consumables and replacements; Perform equipment upgrades as requirements
· Calibrate the test equipment according to the schedule
· Help the manufacturing department and R&D department to test the samples or demo systems using the test equipment
· Train new employee to operate the equipment
· Maintain documentations for equipment inventory, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibrations for reference purposes; Maintain all the user manuals
· Act as primary contact for equipment performance related questions and concerns
· Must be flexible to work outside the regular working schedule
· Troubleshoot the failure electronic circuits at the components level for both equipment and the products; Solder, repair and replace these electronic components
Write fault statistics and root causes reports.
Qualifications and Skills*
2-year college diploma or university degree in Electronics or equivalent
2+ years of relevant equipment maintenance and electronics trouble shooting experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment
Excellent problem solving and debug skills, independently drive an investigation to a root cause.
Ability to understand electronic schematics; Familiar with the electronic debugging tools such as oscilloscope and digital meters; Excellent electronic soldering skills
Knowledge of electronics and mechanical manufacturing processes and the associated requirements
Solid interpersonal skills to function appropriately in a multi-disciplinary team environment; Fast learning, detail oriented, procedural in workflow, aptitude for accuracy
Ability to prioritize issues, manage multiple tasks, and estimate/meet target completion date.
