JM Education is looking for a teacher for international students in our Burnaby Campus. Qualified teacher should be able to teach K-12 English, Math and/or Science. Teaching experience in IB and AP curriculum would be a great benefit. You may utilize your own teaching materials, or JM Education could support you on the materials and curriculum. We are looking for teachers who are passionate and committed to helping the students to achieve their ultimate goals. Experienced teachers are welcomed to join our team. Working schedule is very flexible depending (weekend schedule available if you prefer).
This instructor position is ideal if you are/have:
– Experienced in teaching / tutoring 1:1 or small groups
– Enthusiastic and have positive attitude
– Superior in time management
– Flexible and patient
– Ability to teach various levels, from Beginners to Advanced
– Ability to teach K-12 English
– Ability to teach K-12 Math (Preferably Pre-Calculus and AP-Calculus)
– Ability to provide proper feedbacks for students
– Ability to prepare materials before each lesson
– Bi-lingual (Korean & English) will be a great asset***
– Entitled to work in Canada legally. (PR or Canadian Citizen)
Responsibility:
– 1.5 – 3 hour lessons with students
– Encouraging students to actively participate and have them feel more comfortable in the class
– Follow up with the supervisors and directors about your lessons and students’ performance
– Provide thorough feedback to each student and/or their parents and guardians if necessary
– Manage flexible schedules (depends on the number of assigned students)
– Be sure to prepare the lesson prior to your class
– Assign homework to students
