QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have Certification with Sonography Canada (CRGS)and/or have Certification with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Full knowledge of theory and practical application for Diagnostic Medical Sonography procedure types including: abdomen, obstetrical and pelvic.
- Mandarin speaking is an asset.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Performing scanning procedures, following protocols and standards.
- Ability to differentiate normal vs abnormal sonographic findings using knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology.
- Have excellent computer skills.
- Candidate must have strong ability to communicate findings/technical impression of various exams (orally and in writing) to the reporting radiologist.
- Must have exceptional organizational and communication skills and take pride in quality patient care.
- Have effective communication when dealing with patients, and their families.
- Work well collaboratively with Physicians and other medical staff.
- Ensuring Ministry of Health, and DAP guidelines are followed.
- Patient privacy and confidentiality is expected at all times.
- Demonstrated ability in CPR techniques.
- Must be in good standing with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS as well as participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
