Reporting to the Chief Professional Engineer of the Stack Engineering Department (SED) the Stack Evaluation Engineer is responsible for developing methodologies for benchmarking stacks in the industry, supporting DV (Design Validation) with suppler stacks and developing evaluation methods to fully characterize stacks in order to develop controls and operating strategies. When unusual observations or failures are observed this engineer will assist the team in investigating the phenomenon.
Typical duties, responsibilities and activities include:
Requirements
A technical education in Physics, Mechanical, Chemical Processes, Manufacturing, Materials, or a similar field
3 to 10 years post grad experience (>2 in testing type role), with a focus on:
Testing electrotechnical systems and fuel cell stacks
Stack sourcing or design
Supplier or customer facing role
Component characterization and materials testing
Quality engineering (6 sigma)
Collaborative
Detail and structure orientation
Able to extract information from conversations (intelligence gathering)
Predisposition to design and building equipment.
Patient and able to trouble shoot issues systematically

Mandarin fluency
