About Liuyishou Hotpot
Chongqing Liuyishou Hotpot was founded in 2000, which is a leading enterprise that specializes in managing hot pot chains and franchisees. Liuyishou now has expanded its business to more than 1,200 overseas units all around the world. In 2014, Liuyishou chose the greater Vancouver for our North America Head Office and opened our first restaurant in Richmond BC. In 2015, Liuyishou International Management Company (Canada) Ltd. was established to operate Liuyishou Hot Pot Restaurants across North America. Since then, we have directly managed a central kitchen and large-scale food processing factory, with over 20 restaurants and 500 employees in North America.
We are looking for a Kitchen Manager in Training to join the team. As a Kitchen Manager in Training, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day back-of-house restaurant operations run smoothly, ensure that the kitchen is appropriately staffed, proper prep is completed for the day, and manage the pace of service while adhering to health and safety standards. The ideal candidate shall have good career stability and a passion for food and customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain a clean facility and report any maintenance/repair needs as they arise;
- Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, rotated, organized, and easily accessible;
- Execute maintenance schedule for equipment;
- Complete inventory counts for food and kitchen supplies, and receiving as they arrive;
- Prep cook line for service and assist with cooking duties;
- Hire, train, and manage personnel while working closely with the FOH manager to do so;
- Open and close restaurant in accordance with the processes in place;
- Identify and address customer needs, concerns, and issues;
- Report team member and guest injuries;
- Enforce food standards, quality and consistency;
- Anything else needed or asked upon;
- Comply with Liuyishou rules and regulations;
- Assist the Restaurant General Manager with all aspects of restaurant operations;
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3-year experience in management and kitchen experience, Chinese restaurant, Hot Pot, or Sichuan restaurant experience is preferred;
- Proven knowledge of kitchen processes;
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English;
- Ability to multitask, problem solve, and make decisions;
- Attention to cleanliness and safety;
- Responsible and trustworthy.
