Lekon Logistics and Trading Co., Ltd is a company located Richmond, BC and provides cross-border logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding, custom clearance and door-to-door delivery services. We are currently looking to hire a Shipping Service Manager to ensure our timely, accurate and secure shipping and distribution service. The Shipping Service Manager is responsible for overall management of various tasks such as collaborating, packaging, verifying shipment content, shipping & receiving packages, ordering supplies and managing staffs. Shipping Management:
· Plan and implement overall shipping strategy, supervise and manage the whole shipping process and activities
· Create and implement the operation policies and procedures
· Ensure all the shipping staffs and coordinators are incompliance with the operation standards
· Review and oversee the shipment documentation process and inspect any in-transit or completed orders
· Supervise and manage all shipment by tracking, checking, prioritizing and routing orders
· Keep shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or efficiency
· Report shipping performance regularly to evaluate the existing operation strategy
· Research and update the shipment strategy to optimize the operation budget
· Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of shipment orders timely and closely
· Resolve any issues regarding shipping orders in a timely manner, provide consultation and support for customer service
· Coordinate with warehousing team to ensure the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
· Review and evaluate employee performance
· Recruit and train new employee
Shipping Collaboration:
· Collaborate with any logistic partners, including freight forwarders, warehouse companies, customs agencies and freight couriers
· Build and maintain good relationships with relevant partners and authorities
· Negotiate the price with logistic partners to minimize the cost of shipment transportation and warehousing services
Requirements:
· University Degree or College diploma in Business Administration, logistics, supply chain or related field
· At least three years of experience in cross-border logistics, proven previous experience in the role of management is required
· Experience with shipment service from or to North America and East Asia is preferred
· Good communication and interpersonal skills in English is required, able to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese will be asset
· Excellent skills in multitasking and time management
· Good organizational and coordinating abilities
· Team player, self-motivated person, problem-solver and critical thinker
· May work in other time zone, weekends, or overtime
· May have abroad business travel
