Hon’s is a Vancouver based manufacturer of quality Asian Comfort Food. Started as a restaurant in the early 1970’s, Hon’s has always been the go-to place for authentic Asian noodles. Today, Hon’s offers varieties of Asian wheat and rice noodles that can be made into a meal with ease. Hon’s helps consumers take the guesswork out of Asian cooking with quality, freshly-made staples that can be easily prepared from home.
In 2022, Hon’s established a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility and R&D innovation center. With the latest fully automated noodle manufacturing and packaging lines, Hon’s is the largest noodle manufacturer on the west coast of Canada providing best quality foods to consumers and foodservice customers.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you are responsible for growing sales through new and existing customers and identifying new markets and customer leads. Managing all aspects of the sales function for retailers, food distributors, independent and chain restaurant customers. You will be working to promote Hon’s established brands including Hon’s, Sunning Foods, Viet Huong, and Shinsen’na.
We require a self-motivated and confident individual with a professional attitude. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and someone who thrives in a challenging, productive environment.
Responsibilities
- Build sales and develop new business opportunities
- Provide solution to customers
- Develop customer base through cold-calling and visiting retailers, food distributors, and restaurants
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Ensure the execution of the various promotions and marketing activities
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques
- Resolves customer concerns by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
- Ensure accurate customer pricing in conjunction with the Management
- Work with wholesale team to arrange deliveries and ensure all orders are shipped out in a timely manner
- Represent Hon’s brands at different markets and events
- Coordinate new product launch and brand development ·
- Coordinate and manage all marketing information as it relates to current and new products
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to build and establish relationships
- Ability to travel to customers on a daily basis.
- Excellent communication abilities
- Passion for food
- Desire to achieve
- Flexibility in working hours to fit with production schedules
- Valid driver’s license in order to visit customers and travel between facilities
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset
- Experience in the food industry is an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $38,691.05-$122,340.53 per year
