We are looking for an Audio Technician (NOC5225) to join our team. It is a full-time position (35 hours/week), $28.75/hour, paid on a semi-monthly basis with 10 days of paid vacation. Job Responsibilities:
· Consult with producer and performers to determine the sound requirements
· Select, assemble, test, adjust, and operate any required sound equipment such as soundboards, microphones, amplifiers, audio lines, monitors and speakers for a recording or live performance
· Monitor sound levels and quality for live performances
· Apply technical knowledge of sound recording equipment to achieve the determined artistic objectives
· Record sound onto digital audio tape or hard disk recorders
· Monitor audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions
· Using computer software program and sound reproduction systems to edit and reproduce sound input
· Using computer software program to create titles, sub-titles or graphic backgrounds for video clips
· Repair or replace faulty equipment and order new devices when needed
· Research and make ordering decisions for the company’s sound and recording equipment
· Coordinate with other professionals in the video filming team
Qualifications:
· Completion of college diploma in recording engineering, audiovisual technology or a related filed is required
· Related work experience as a recording studio assistant is required
· Be able to communicate in English
· Good interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills
· Ability to perform setup, operation and troubleshooting of basic audio-visual equipment
· Ability to multitask, work independently and meet deadlines
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
