We are seeking a full time staff member to join our growing export department, preferably with a minimum of one year experience. We offer full benefits including healthcare, dental and vision.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, in English (ability to speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese would be considered an asset)
- Being courteous and responsive in all interactions with clients and colleagues
- Ability to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries, concerns and problems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines sumultaneously
- A good team player with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong computer skills, use of Microsoft office and in-house system will be required
- Works well under pressure in a time sensitive environment
Daily Responsibilities:
- Managing international shipments and communicating effectively with overseas agents as well as local clientele
- Coordinate all aspects of shipment process including issuing bookings, manifests, Bills of Lading, and billing
- Review all shipment documentation to confirm accuracy and perform data input to open file
- Coordinate with clients, warehouses, truckers, and steamship lines, to ensure smooth and timely flow of goods and information
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain good relationships with clients and answer general inquiries regarding shipment status
- Tracking status with carriers and keeping clients/agents advised of status regularly
