About Liuyishou Hotpot:
Chongqing Liuyishou Hotpot was founded in 2000, which is a leading enterprise that specializes in managing hot pot chains and franchisees. Liuyishou now has expanded its business to more than 1,200 overseas units all around the world. In 2014, Liuyishou chose the greater Vancouver for our North America Head Office and opened our first restaurant in Richmond BC. In 2015, Liuyishou International Management Company (Canada) Ltd. was established to operate Liuyishou Hot Pot Restaurants across North America. Since then, we have directly managed a central kitchen and large-scale food processing factory, with over 20 restaurants and 500 employees in North America.
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join the team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for all aspects of the HR function including recruitment, employee relations, health & safety, retention strategies, performance management, training, conflict resolution, management development, and employment policies.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Advise business leaders on all aspects of organizational effectiveness including recruitment and selection, new hire orientation, compensation and benefits, employee relations, compliance, policies administration, performance management, training and ad hoc requests;
- In conjunction with other HR team members, assist in maintaining all HR internal process reports;
- · Recruit, participate and coordinate the screening, interviewing and hiring process for all levels of employment;
- Work closely with leaders to identify departmental training/professional development requirements, both internal and external, and organize these requirements company-wide;
- Conduct the employee onboarding session, as required;
- Guide and coach people leaders on the performance management program (probationary and annual reviews), performance improvement plans, progressive discipline measures and termination processes;
- Provide information and advice to employees and people leaders on the interpretation of policies and programs;
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations to ensure compliance;
- Policy Work: This includes evaluating current policies, recommendations for changes as well as conducting research on policy best practices and competitor research, and development and implementation of any approved updates and new policies;
- Data collection, report preparation, analysis and management for Human Resources Department;
- Assist with the research, planning and execution of various HR initiatives;
- Supporting the Director of Human Resources with special projects;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Business degree/college diploma with a Human Resources specialization or equivalent combination of related education and experience;
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as an HR Generalist;
- Proficient in Google Suite or MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel);
- Must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders (verbally and written) in English and Chinese (Mandarin);
- Extreme attention to detail, ability to multi-task and juggle priorities;
- Must have availability for local and out-of-state travel; as needed.
