Premier Pacific Foods specializes in manufacturing and packaging of tofu and sauces (bbq, salsas, pizza sauce, oriental, etc), syrups, oils, salad dressings, marinades, mustards, and other semi-viscous flowable foods. We have 30 years of expertise in the tofu and sauce-manufacturing and packaging arena producing for national, regional, local companies. Our final products are immediately ready for sale or use within the food service and/or retail market.
We are a food processing company dedicated to providing high-quality and safe food products to our customers. We are looking for a SQF Practitioner to join our team and ensure that our products are compliant with all relevant food regulations.
The SQF Practitioner will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our food processing operations are in compliance with HACCP and SQF standards. The successful candidate will work closely with production and quality assurance team to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to the safety and quality of our products. This position reports to the QA manager and is based in our food processing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, Implement, and maintain HACCP and SQF program
- Conduct risk assessments and identify critical control points in our food processing operations
- Monitor and verify that all critical control points are being maintained with established limits
- Conduct root cause analysis of food safety and quality incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Manage and maintain all HACCP and SQF documentation and records
- Lead and conduct internal audits and third party audit to ensure compliance with HACCP and SQF standards
- Work collaboratively with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Stay up to date with changes in food safety regulations and make recommendations for changes to our HACCP and SQF programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field (required)
- 1-2 years of experience in HACCP or SQF practitioner in a food processing environment (required)
- HACCP and SQF certification (required)
- Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin (required)
- Experience in leading internal and third-party audits
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and SQF Princinples and their application in food processing operations
- Ability to operate quality control equipment and software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
