Pharmacy Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key responsibilities of a Pharmacy Assistant include:

• Greeting Patients and confirming accuracy of all important prescription information prior to filling
• Data entry of patient care information into software program (WINRx)
• Third Party (insurance plans) adjudication
• Accurate dispensing of prescription medications
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
• Knowledge of general OTC inquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
• Answering patient phone calls and working to resolve issues in an efficient manner
• Handling customer prescription pick ups
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset
• Diploma in an accredited Pharmacy Assistant/Pharmacy Technician program
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Strong motivation to succeed
• Proficient computer/data/entry skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
