We are seeking an experienced professional who can independently operate and coordinate the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process. As an LMIA Coordinator, you will be responsible for collaborating with employers, foreign workers, and government departments to ensure compliance with labor market requirements when hiring foreign workers. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Canadian immigration policies and employment regulations, as well as detail oriented, excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

In-depth understanding of the LMIA process: Possess extensive knowledge of LMIA, including application procedures, document requirements, assessment criteria, and relevant policies. Proficiently handle various types of LMIA, such as high-wage positions, low-wage positions, temporary workers, and seasonal workers.
Coordinate LMIA applications: Collaborate with employers to assist them in preparing and submitting LMIA applications. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of application documents and compliance with government department requirements and deadlines.
Collaborate with government departments: Maintain close communication with relevant departments such as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). Communicate with them, track application statuses, address inquiries, and handle any issues that arise.
Provide advice and explanations: Offer accurate and clear guidance to employers and foreign workers regarding the LMIA process, conditions, and requirements. Explain policies and regulations, ensuring their understanding and compliance with relevant provisions.
Maintain records and documentation: Properly maintain all LMIA-related files and records. Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of documents and provide them for review by relevant departments as needed.
Problem-solving: Effectively resolve issues and challenges related to LMIA applications and processes. Adapt to changing requirements and propose innovative solutions.
Communication and coordination skills: Communicate effectively with all parties involved, including employers, foreign workers, and government departments. Exhibit clear, accurate, and polite written and oral communication.
Qualifications:
At least Diploma is required
LMIA experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in LMIA applications and coordination, familiarity with related processes and requirements.
Knowledge of regulations: In-depth understanding of Canadian immigration laws and labor market regulations, and the ability to operate in accordance with the latest policies.
Excellent organizational and time management skills: Ability to handle multiple applications simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving abilities with attention to detail: Analyze and resolve complex issues and make decisions under tight timelines and implementing them meticulously and accurately.
Strong teamwork skills: Ability to collaborate with different departments and teams, establishing good working relationships.
Fluent English: Fluent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to accurately comprehend and explain relevant policies and requirements.
Fluency in Chinese is an asset
Excellent interpersonal skills: Ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, handle sensitive issues, and manage differing opinions.

Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
