Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The Invest-by-phone Advisor within the Advice Centre is responsible for providing professional, attentive and accurate advice when responding to inbound or Onebound calls from our clients regarding all investment-related inquiries. You will be providing a superior experience through engaging clients in conversations, using active listening skills and effective probing questions to identify & understand our clients’ immediate and future investment needs as well as their short and long-term financial goals. With client experience in mind, you will provide tailored financial advice, digital education and suggest products and services to meet the needs of a diverse client base. This is a full-time and shift oriented role with an opportunity to potentially work from home and/or at the Advice Centre.
What will you do?

Identify short and long-term needs, offer value-added advice, and take accountability for the resolution of customer concerns

Respond to inquiries from our clients, delivering financial advice designed to satisfy clients’ total financial services needs and build long-term relationships

Provide an exceptional degree of customer care at all times, ensuring clients receive the optimal service at a level that meets their needs, either personally or by referring them to the appropriate sales partner

Take ownership for all investment-related inquiries, including Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GICs) and mutual funds

Act as a team player, driven to ensure that the whole RBC team is successful in meeting client needs

Retain knowledge about the features and benefits of a wide range of products and services and convey the information to clients

Proactively and diligently enable clients to digitally self-serve and buy
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have:
-
Investment Funds of Canada (IFIC) completed and still valid or in the process of obtaining it by training start date
-
Customer Service experience and strong sales orientation with a passion for fulfilling on client needs.

Strong oral and written communication skills in English
-
Fluency in second language: Cantonese and/or Mandarin
-
Information seeking skills; the ability to probe, find out more and improve your understanding of a client’s situation or issue.

Ability to work a variety of shifts between Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM PDT (8:00 AM to 9:00 PM EST); Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PDT (9:30 AM to 6:30 PM EST)
