Headquartered in British Columbia, Canada, the Mustang Survival Waterlife Studio is a stone’s throw from the water’s edge. We are surrounded by fresh water, a big ocean, and all the weather the Pacific Northwest can throw at us. Our HQ houses a lab to test human physiology and material properties, a product creation shop to craft product concepts, a testing pool to evaluate new ideas (not to mention we are right beside the mighty Fraser River and Pacific Ocean for real-world testing), and a full manufacturing center to carefully craft our marine gear. We are a collective group of people so obsessed with every detail that we control every facet of the product experience and challenge the status quo of how marine gear is designed and built.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Mustang Survival Production team is looking for a Junior Facility Maintenance crew. You will be focus on provide maintenance support, including machines repairs and perform 6S to ensure the facility is functional and tidy. We are looking for candidate who is responsible, reliable, self-motivated, and skilled for wide variety. You must have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge in garment machineries. Also, able to Identifies and reports hazardous conditions and follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance for garment machineries.
- Support necessary cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, trash removal when needed.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, door lock issues, minor plumbing issue.
- Set-up necessary appliances and equipment when needed.
- Collaborate with a team and other inter-personal department during renovation and expansion.
- Report to facility maintenance lead regarding issues resolved especially those needing attention and currently in progress.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts for machines and other supplies and record keeping.
- Respond to urgent tasks and make the necessary repairs quickly and safely.
- Knowledge on a variety of hand and power tools to perform regular maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of on-site apprenticeship training (a plus)
- Familiarity with equipment, mechanical skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to move or lift heavy items (with support from the team member)
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Physical stamina to perform physical task in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ASSETS
- The ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.
- Experience in garment industry is an asset.
