Phyton’s cGMP certified facility in Canada specializes in the purification and chemical conversion of natural active ingredients, improving the quality of life for patients and consumers while respecting our environment. With more than 25 years experience in product/process development, production, and commercialization, we manufacture safe, reliable, and high-value ingredients for customers around the world. Our site has the capacity to meet more than ⅓ of global demand for paclitaxel and docetaxel, commonly used active pharmaceutical ingredients (API’s) in chemotherapy medications.
Phyton Biotech is adding to its Manufacturing & Operations Department. This team supports the manufacturing of Phyton Biotech’s API’s and Intermediates at development and commercial scale which meet cGMP and Phyton’s quality and safety requirements, while being flexible with supporting manufacturing schedules/shifts.

Phyton Biotech determines an individual’s pay based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. The compensation range for this role is $55,100 – $63,000.

A day in the department would include:
· Safely operating a variety of process equipment, including reactors, pumps, storage tanks, and chromatography columns, according to standard operating procedures
· Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling equipment for pharmaceutical production use
· Inspecting plant equipment and assisting with troubleshooting or maintenance
· Preparing work orders as required
· Following written procedures by documenting cGMP manufacturing activities by completing forms, reports, logbooks, and batch records
· Recommending improvements to solve operational problems and continually optimizing plant equipment and processes
Qualifications & Experience:
· Diploma or degree in a technical area
· Minimum of 1-2 years hands-on experience in manufacturing plant, laboratory, or an industrial setting
· Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is an asset, including food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical production
· Knowledge of ERP and quality management systems an asset
