Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 35 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role: Reporting to and Senior Manager, Human Resources or his/her delegates, this position encompasses various responsibilities within the department. Primarily focused on supporting talent acquisition, the job incumbent will also be responsible for compiling related reports, conduct pre-employment checks, documents verification, prepare employment documents and onboarding registration, data entry and record filing, and coordination with employees for contract signing. preparin managing human resources record retention and filing, coordinating with stakeholders internally and externally, arranging meetings and department activities, and providing support in other human resources functions as needed. Adaptability and willingness to take on additional projects or assignments are essential for success in this role.
- Major Responsibilities: Support the Talent Acquisition Team in its administrative functions from the confirmation of hiring to onboarding.
- Conduct pre-employment checks, including CRC, collect and verify all related documents, prepare contracts and other documents, and coordinate contract signing.
- Perform accurate input, maintenance, and verification of employee personal data on HRIS or other relevant platforms, including checking and verifying data on spreadsheets, lists, or other documents.
- Compile and prepare various human resources and related reports and documents as required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and proper employee records at all times.
- Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the Talent Acquisition Team by performing any assigned duties as required.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of office experience, preferably in human resources.
- Strong interest and aptitude in human resources management, high integrity and able to handle confidential information professionally.
- Knowledge of Canadian Employment Standards and Human Rights Acts is an advantage.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving and people skills; detail oriented and meticulous.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, capable of prioritizing, multitasking, and meeting tight deadlines.
- A quick learner and a team player who can work independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is an advantage.
- Able to start work immidiately is highly preferred.
