Job Responsibilities:
· Collect the taxation policies, assisting head office in taxation planning, and be responsible for the implementation of the local taxation plan.
· Take lead in local taxes return, and be responsible for the application and the management of taxation related to legal documents or certificates.
· Verify the accuracy of accounting records and invoices; Review accuracy of expense classification on invoices based on the local legislation.
· Handle bookkeeping for full cycle, including Accounts Payable, cheque cutting, bank reconciliation, credit card payment, and financial statements preparation.
· Liaise with external auditors to answer queries and collaborate with senior management to ensure success of financial audits.
· Provide advice on the application of financial policies and procedures, and ensures internal controls are operated effectively.
· Provide insight into significant financial risks and makes practical recommendation to reduce risk, improve operational performance.
· Participate in the commercial negotiation of various of business contracts and the selection of the vendors.
· Review internal controls continuously to ensure efficiency is maximized and all risks are mitigated.
· Manage the acquisition of capital assets including the assessment on the necessity of the procurement etc., and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.
· Respond to and resolve inquiries and issues related to financial reporting; provide financial accounting analysis/support for operational transactions and budget/forecast activities.
· Support administrative activities over multiple Banking platforms.
· Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications/Skills:
· 2 + years of relevant experience in accounting principles and tax compliance.
· Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP.
· Solid and demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and full cycle accounting.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
· Demonstrates integrity, ethical decision-making and behaviors that build trust across teams.
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
· Canadian CPA designation or equivalent is preferred.

· College or University degree in Business or Accounting
