Our client, based in Richmond, has a diversified portfolio of global businesses in real estate, beverage, and trading. They are looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This Accounting Manager will manage the accounting team, which consists of 2-3 accountants / accounting assistants. The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, reconciliation, payroll etc) and will report to the VP of Finance & Administration. This is a fantastic opportunity that will allow for career progression and the chance for you to develop your global business knowledge.
Responsibilities
Manage the accounting team (as stated above)
Manage year-end reporting and filings
Prepare construction loan draw reports
Support budget and forecasting activities
Financial reporting to senior management
Qualifications
CPA Designation is a must
Minimum of 2 years experience in the Real Estate Development / Construction industry (80% of the company’s activities are in real estate development and the rest are in beverage wholesale, trading and income properties)
Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory / management position
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Minimum 1 year of experience using Timberlines/Sage 300 Construction Software
Knowledge of Construction / Real Estate Development accounting software
Strong Communication & Leadership skills
Ability to speak Mandarin would be considered a strong asset
