Our BC head office location is seeking a well-rounded, full-time Production Machine Operator/Technician to support our diverse and growing team.
What you will do: *
The ideal candidate will fully manage production machinery including usage, simple repairs, and maintenance. You are someone with experience in operating complex equipment/machines with an interest in learning new skills and supporting the rest of the production team.
Some specific duties and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
Operating and conducting maintenance on semi-automatic production machinery
Support assembly production tasks during machine downtime
Responsible for learning about the machines and teaching others how to operate them
Conducting regular troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on equipment
Assess and diagnose faults on production equipment
Advise and make recommendations regarding the design, usage, and implementation of production equipment
Fabricates complex and precise components, modify equipment to meet specialized requirements
Check for safety issues on equipment and ensures operators are properly trained
What you will need to be successful: *
Required: *
High school graduate or higher education
5+ years of full-time work experience
1+ years of experience operating/fixing/developing machine equipment
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels throughout the organization
Strong problem-solving, time management, and decision-making skills
Self-motivated and self-directed with demonstrated ability to effectively implement positive change
Preferred: *
10+ years of full-time work experience
3+ years of experience operating/fixing/developing machine equipment
