We are looking for bright and motivated individuals to be part of our team as an Administrative/Medical Office Assistant.
This position is open to those who are fluent in both English and Korean/Mandarin and is suitable for those who are well-organized and perform well in a team environment through the use of effective communication. Reporting to the Office Manager, the Administrative/Medical Office Assistant maintains the integrity and confidentiality of all information passed through the clinic while maintaining high standards of patient care. Healthcare experience is not required as all necessary medical education will be provided during the training period.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular administrative and reception duties: registers patients, answers phone calls, handles record-keeping, charts notes, processes payment, data entry and word processing;
Controls scheduling patient appointments and organize schedule to maintain the flow of operation;
Prepares, monitors, and prioritizes correspondence;
Informs patients regarding clinic policies, procedures, documents, and forms;
Provides administrative support to and coordinates information flowing to and from medical staff;
Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience:
High School Diploma;
Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant Certificate Program is an asset, but not required;
Experience in customer service and training in a health care setting are assets, but not required
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to work both independently and effectively with others in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and patients;
Ability to type at 40-50 wpm and set up e-mails in a professional format;
Proficient with word processing software and spreadsheets;
Ability to organize and prioritize a high volume workload;
Ability to respond to and handle changing priorities and unexpected challenges/conflicts;
Demonstrate collaborative team approach with effective communication skills;
Ability to take action and implement decisions;
Ability to work as an effective member of an administrative team;
Ability to follow detailed instructions
