Position Scope
Due to business demand, we currently have an immediate opening for an experienced Purchaser. This position will allow you to work with an established team of engineers and the production department to support current and upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities
Review inventory status for raw materials and maintain safety stock level
Forecast raw materials usage and place bulk forecast orders
Monitor stock level of key components and order for replenishment
Work closely with the Engineering Department and issue PO to suppliers based on information from Engineers
Confirm delivery schedule with suppliers and update project teams about delivery status
Monitor supplier delivery performance and alert project teams or production for late shipments
Subcontract workpieces to subcontractors to reduce in-house workload
Review quotations for subcontracting process
Source for reliable suppliers for production tools and machines * Contact suppliers for machine maintenance and repairs as required
Occasionally go out to source and purchase urgent parts
Other duties as assign
Qualifications & Abilities
At least 2 to 3 years of Purchasing experience within a manufacturing setting
Work independently and effectively to meet deadlines
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is preferable
Knowledge of machine and power tools is preferable, e.g. power drill, grinders, and bandsaw, etc
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Good command of spoken and written English, knowledge in Chinese is desirable
