This is an office job for a small company that is moving to a new facility in 2021. We are looking for a tech savvy bookkeeper who can organize our office and assist in purchasing/receive materials. Your role will be integral to the success of the company. Position is available immediately.

We are a small food manufacturing company that has been in business for over 30 years. We are looking for some great employees to grow with us as we take the business to the next level. We are located on Broadway Street in Port Coquitlam.
- Responsibilities and Duties: *
- Bookkeeping including bank AP/AR, bank reconciliations, GST, payroll using Quickbooks Online
- Answering phone calls
- Taking customer orders and invoicing
- Forecasting materials needs, orders & receiving materials (moving up to 40 pound boxes)
- Coordinate delivery of orders with drivers
- Help with production as needed if shorthanded
- Full-time salaried ($40,000-$45,000 per year or ~$20-22 per hour)
- Hours: Mon-Fri ~8am-3pm core hours (flexible outside of this time), some work on stat holidays will be needed in rotation with other office staff
- Some remote work necessary on Sunday morning (~20 minutes on a computer/laptop)
- Qualifications: *
- Solid bookkeeping knowledge
- Physically fit (lifting up to 40 pounds)
- Detail oriented
- Good computer skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to learn new programs such as Google Gmail, Docs, Drive, Quickbooks online with online documentation/training manuals
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Good communicator with customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a future forklift certification (training will be provided)
- Fluent in English
- 1-2 years bookkeeping experience or a diploma in bookkeeping
- Nice to have: *
- Experience working in a modern, cloud based office environment
- Experience implementing an employee training program
- Experience setting up procedures, checkpoints, and controls in an office
- Ability to take on special office projects & assist in doing research
- Ability to organize our virtual library/documentation
- Assist in writing business plans
- Ability to speak other languages such as Cantonese, Mandarin, French, Albanian, Polish, Greek, etc

Salary: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
