Job Summary
BLUBC Education Consulting now is seeking a dynamic and passionate part-time History Teacher for high school students, who want to teach young people and develop students’ academic skills. Our programs offer both individual support and small-group class to students looking to enrich their History academic knowledge.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Working one-to-one and in a small group with students
- Creating / preparing materials to make the curriculum interesting and engaging
- Filing reports on the progress of students and tutoring sessions
- Seeking and responding to feedback from students and our staff
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in teaching History Courses is a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of upper-level high school/ college history courses is a must
- Excellent oral and written communication skill in English is a must
- Previous experience in working with high school students is preferred
- Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
- Additional language(s) spoken is an asset (Mandarin, etc.)
- High school teaching experience is a plus
BLUBC Specific Requirements
- Had experience of teaching AP and SAT II history courses (e.g., AP World History, AP US History, AP European History, SAT II World History and US History). Familiar with other social science courses (e.g., politics, etc.) will be assets.
- Be able to create a specific course outline for students.
- Be able to assign relevant homework to students after each class and to check them on time.
- Be able to provide assessments (either in a test format or written feedback) for students regularly
- Be able to communicate with BLUBC education consultants regularly regarding students’ performances
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 10-25 per week
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
