JOB DESCRIPTION – PROGRAM MANAGER - E-LEARNING, Special Projects Reports to: Education Services Manager and VP Strategic Projects Status: Full-Time, 1 year contract ABOUT SMALL BUSINESS BC Small Business BC is a non-profit organization that is here to help British Columbia’s entrepreneurs grow successful and sustainable businesses. Supported by funds from PacifiCan and the BC Ministry of Jobs, Economic Recovery and Innovation, we celebrate and champion the thriving small business community within BC. PRIMARY FUNCTION We are looking for a program manager experienced in implementing successful e-learning projects. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders, use your instructional design experience, and apply project management methods to ensure success in delivering e-learning contract deliverables for external stakeholders. This role works closely with teams at SBBC to oversee the development, launch and success of exciting new e-learning curriculum for small businesses. This position is for a one-year contract with potential for extension contingent on continued program funding. JOB DUTIES AND TASKS - Develops detailed project plans, objectives, timelines, schedules, and deliverables in conjunction with the SBBC team and external stakeholders for developing collaborative e-learning products. - Works closely with department staff and subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, determine appropriate course flows, graphic applications to be used and organize content ideas/storyboards. - Tracks project progress as per project plan, identifies metrics and performing key internal or stakeholder reporting. · Monitors project contracts and ensures all stakeholder deliverables are met on time and on budget - Work with team members and project stakeholders to oversee progress on project deliverables from marketing to e-learning. - Maintain communications with internal stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met to the satisfaction of external partners. - Leads ongoing communications regarding project on behalf of SBBC with supervision and support of day-to-day operations. - Participates in development or monitoring of project budgets in conjunction with the Education Services Manager and VP, Strategic Projects. · Ensures graphical elements in all projects are consistent with organizational objectives, strategies, corporate graphic standards, and contractual obligations. - Oversees and identifies priorities for a supporting e-Learning Instructional (Graphic) Designer using a strong project management foundation. - Develops and maintains effective and strong working relationships between all parties involved to create lasting allegiances beyond the project timeframe. - Performs other duties as assigned related to the project. QUALIFICATIONS A degree or diploma in Adult Education, Higher Education, Administration, Project Management, Business Management, or Non-profit Management. A minimum of 2 years of experience with e-learning, instructional design, or curriculum development or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Proven experience with Learning Management Systems and implementing online learning projects. Familiarity with implementation of learning through a variety of modalities (e.g. asynchronous /synchronous, self-directed on-line, virtually facilitated, webinars, videos, face-to-face) Familiarity with LearnDash or similar LMS, CMS an asset Demonstrated proficiency in the conceptualization of training programs and their design, execution, and evaluation. Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence Experience working with a cross functional team A proven track record of successfully implementing online or e-learning projects using different methodologies. Able to build and maintain strong client relationships Able to prioritize and set clear direction and expectations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail Communicates effectively and strategically orally and in writing, with clients, technical teams, and other co-workers. Proficiency with MS and G-Suite applications and online project management tools such as Asana Entrepreneurial mindset or small business experience a definite asset Understanding of the small business community or business experience an asset Ability to work in French is considered an asset, as well as additional languages (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese or Farsi).
