Tri-Star Seafood Supply Ltd. is a seafood export and wholesale business in Richmond, BC V6X 3J4.
We are seeking a reliable Accounting Clerk with a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an accounting department and familiar with performing all aspects of accounting practices. This is a full-time, entry-level position and candidates should be willing to work 8-hour days and fulfill multiple responsibilities within the department. Previous experience in an accounting department is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records.
- Perform data entry into spreadsheet or database.
- Create and maintain an organized filing system.
- Follow up with vendors on outstanding invoices.
- Use accounting software to verify reports and make corrections.
- Prepare, verify and post invoices.
- Prepare bank deposits
- Handle petty cash account
- Work with auditors to determine discrepancies.
- Be familiar with accounting tools.
- Have knowledge of federal and tax laws.
- Drive to bank to deposit cheques and deal with bank related matters.
Requirements:
- Have a minimum 1-2 year experience in accounting field in Canada.
- Speak fluent Mandarin and English.
- Must have a valid driving licence.
- Attend to details and have good organizing skills.
- Have good time management skills.
- Have experience in export or seafood company an asset.
