Tri-Star Seafood Supply Ltd. is a seafood export and wholesale business in Richmond, BC V6X 3J4.

We are seeking a reliable Accounting Clerk with a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an accounting department and familiar with performing all aspects of accounting practices. This is a full-time, entry-level position and candidates should be willing to work 8-hour days and fulfill multiple responsibilities within the department. Previous experience in an accounting department is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records.
• Perform data entry into spreadsheet or database.
• Create and maintain an organized filing system.
• Follow up with vendors on outstanding invoices.
• Use accounting software to verify reports and make corrections.
• Prepare, verify and post invoices.
• Prepare bank deposits
• Handle petty cash account
• Work with auditors to determine discrepancies.
• Be familiar with accounting tools.
• Have knowledge of federal and tax laws.
• Drive to bank to deposit cheques and deal with bank related matters.

Requirements:

• Have a minimum 1-2 year experience in accounting field in Canada.
• Speak fluent Mandarin and English.
• Must have a valid driving licence.
• Attend to details and have good organizing skills.
• Have good time management skills.
• Have experience in export or seafood company an asset.
