This is a full time & permanent position; Monday – Friday, hours of 8:30am-5:00pm. Wage is based on prior & relevant experience.

The administrative & clinical assistant will work collaboratively with other administrative staff and the Respiratory Therapists in the clinic; as well as other admin / staff across Coastal Sleep. The candidate is open to helping cover the occasional vacation/sick days in the Richmond, Burnaby & Coquitlam offices.

This position is considerably varied and complex. The candidate is expected to act professionally, demonstrate initiative, and exhibit good judgment. This position interacts regularly with patients, health care professionals and physician offices; exceptional customer skills are required.

Main duties of the role:

work independently and collaboratively with other office staff and company locations
coordinate and schedule appointments with patients
manage paper and online file systems and databases
prepare monthly reports in collaboration with other office staff
manage inventory and ensure cleanliness of medical equipment
billing extended health companies; issuing invoices; following up with payment
explain, download, review and track all sleep apnea testing
prepare reports, faxes, and follow-up for testing
Required skills include:

ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication with accuracy and attention to detail
ability to work both independently and as a team member
intermediate knowledge level of MS Office Word and Excel
experience in medical/other office administration an asset; no prior knowledge of Sleep Apnea is required
experience with QuickBooks accounting system is an asset
secondary languages, such as Mandarin, are an asset
