About Provident
Provident Security is British Columbia’s only full service security company. We do it all; from supplying and installing security systems, access control systems, integrated home automation systems to monitoring those same systems in our own Vancouver based monitoring station. We have our own mobile response team and our own static and event guard team which is where we first started.
About the Role
The technical support and alarm dispatcher are part of our 24/7 Operations Center Team, responsible for but not limited to dispatching 911 for alarms, providing technical support to clients and helping technicians program cameras. Clear and concise communications is paramount for the success of this role. Our entire business centers around other people’s emergencies, we are looking for candidates that have a strong sense of duty and responsibility.

Responsibilities and Duties
Monitoring and dispatching on alarm events
Troubleshooting technical issues and creating service jobs
Dispatching 911 to emergency situations
Coordinating with clients and multiple teams during incidents
Programming of video, alarm, and automation systems
Qualifications and Skills
Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written (native speakers or applicants with fluency level of C2 will be considered)
Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with high level of accuracy while multi-tasking
Ability to quickly and effectively recognize a problem, determine the cause, take appropriate action and follow-up if necessary
Ability and experience working with clients from a diverse background in a courteous, professional, and confidential manner
Full availability to help us provide 24/7 coverage
Currently have or able to obtain your security license, have no criminal record, and are legally entitled to work in Canada
Assets
Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese
2+ years of customer service in fast food customer service or building concierge
Able to type 60+ WPM
