Academy of Modern Art (AOMA) is a Vancouver based art education institution dedicated to transitioning art and design students to their post-secondary school of choice.
We are looking for an experienced Art School Manager who will be responsible for the full scope of managing year-round operations in our rapidly expanding after-school educational institution. The successful candidate must have a strong arts program background both in education and administration.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan and manage the daily office operations
- Recruit, schedule, train, supervise and evaluate staff
- Recruit and evaluate instructors
- Supervise student management and school customer service
- Responsible for overseeing and assessing school program development and program growth including
–Support and manage AOMA studio development including portfolio instructors, staff recruitment – Support and manage the university portfolio preparation and application program development
–Support AOMA Certificate Program development
–Support AOMA kids and adult program development
–Support the development of school events including then art competition, university info week, workshops, paint night, Birthday party, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary degree from a top university, preferably in fine arts or design with Education
- Must have a strong passion for art education
- Minimum 3 years experience working in an education managerial or senior education administrative role, preferably in a local after-school educational company
- Knowledge of the university application requirements to elite universities in North America and Europe
- Proven strong leadership, excellent problem solving and communication skills are required
- Excellent organizational and scheduling skills required
- Fluency in Mandarin an asset
- Willingness to work flexible hours
