1 Provides hands on support and assistance to the Department Head in the following aspects:
(a) Manage and supervise department daily operation and staff’s working performance
(b) Provide on-the-job training, shadowing, guidance and supervision to department staff
(c ) Achieve through teamwork the department goals set by the company
Oversee product quality, food safety, freshness and ensure FIFO is strictly practiced within the department
Manage department merchandises and promotion items
Handle customers’ complaints, build rapport with our customers by providing good smile, eye contact and attention to them
Conduct quality control, responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the department
Lead by example by performing all hands on duties required in the Bakery Department
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Accountable, pleasant and always take initiative
Possess great interpersonal and customer service skills
Good communication skills , possess strong verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin)
Possess 3 years and/or above relevant experience, with at least a year of supervisory experience preferred
Possess basic knowledge in controlling profit and loss and interpreting data and market information
Possess good computer skills in MS Office
Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
Process knowledge and skills of merchandise management and implementation
Good organization, and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and within a team
Have a good understanding of tools & equipments relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises
