Our client, a company that provides property development and construction management, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager join their team in Richmond on a permanent basis. As the Assistant Project Manager, you would be responsible for providing technical engineering information to employees and subcontractors to ensure projects comply with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions. Responsibilities & Duties
- Assisting in the evaluation and solution of potential field problems and reporting them to the Project Manager
- Assisting in inspections with City inspectors
- Coordinating tasks by different people on different sites to ensure uniformity upon project completion
- Working within the budget by estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses
- Procuring and allocating resources
- Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s timeline
Requirements:
- Experience with BCBC, VBBL
- Experience within Architecture/Engineering Industries
- Ability to work as a team member on projects with an aptitude for problem-solving
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, Cantonese is an asset
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Construction related degree/diploma and three to five years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software
- Ability to support the project team and helping to solve construction issues in time-sensitive situations
