Our BC head office location is seeking an experienced full-time Lab Technologist to support our diverse and talented team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Biological Technologist will conduct two main types of research activities: 1) development of new tests based on the lateral flow immunoassay test platform, and 2) improvement of the quality of current lateral flow immunoassay test kits:
Carry out experiments designed by senior scientists and report experiment results immediately to the supervisor
Collect and record all experimental data in a professional manner, and report it to the supervisor
Conduct preliminary QC analysis for new test prototypes at each development stage, including the design of QC protocols, proposals for QC control panel and samples, and conducting QC tests
Participate in the analysis and discussion of experiment results
Responsible for regular maintenance of research equipment used in the project
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, in a Biology, Chemistry, or related field
2 years or more work experience in a related field is preferred
Ability to work in a team & independently
Good communication skills – interpersonal, written & presentation
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Projects a professional image
Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics
Good organizational and documentation skills
