What are we looking for?
We are currently growing our business development and partnership team! This role is a great opportunity to gain experience and make a real contribution in building B2B product partnerships as well as exposure to launching a new tech product. If you are a highly motivated business development enthusiast with an entrepreneurial mindset, this role could be a good fit. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience, and working closely with the Sales Lead, as well as marketing, product and other internal teams, the ideal candidate will connect with identified merchants to present and showcase impactful business opportunities with the goal of creating new partnerships for our newly tested B2B product. To be successful in this role, you must have passion for driving results, interest in the mobile tech space, and the confidence to sell marketing-based loyalty solutions to merchants.
This internship is for the Winter 2022/23 semester and will start in January 2023.
What you will be doing:
- Execute strategic merchant acquisition opportunities across a wide array of industries in the Lower Mainland
- Communicate and report pipeline efforts using various CRM and project management tools
- Support in efforts to identify, prospect and qualify new leads based on specific qualification criteria
- Develop sales presentations and customize according to your client research
- Work towards achieving merchant acquisition targets and business goals
- Provide market feedback to internal teams in order to improve product and define marketing programs that are mutually beneficial to Moola and its client
- Liaise with the client and account manager to assist with merchant onboarding
- Support marketing with executing and delivery of marketing programs
- Language translation for meetings, print collateral, and pitch documents
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Must be enrolled and in progress of completing a business/marketing program at a Canadian University/College
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to speak, read and write in Cantonese or Mandarin is preferred
- Creative problem solver and innovator
- Comfortable reaching out and conversing with potential merchants, business owners, and business leaders at any level
- Ability to make thoughtful, actionable recommendations under minimal structure and quickly build consensus with stakeholders
- Proven ability to autonomously work well and perform within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be legally able to work in Canada, and on-site in our Vancouver office
- A valid driver’s license and access to a car strongly considered
