Role: Business Development Representative
Type: Full-time or part-time
Perk Hero is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our Sales and Marketing team.
Perk Hero is the mobile commerce platform on a mission to empower business owners with the digital tools to provide their customers with experiences that are more engaging, convenient and rewarding.
Perk Hero Software Inc. is a subsidiary of Perk Labs Inc. With experienced and accomplished leadership, Perk Hero is rolling out a series of innovative and sustainable mobile & digital rewards platforms and is working to lead these industry verticals and the business community of Vancouver, B.C., where we are headquartered.
Reporting to the* Lead Sales Executive, the Business Development Representative* is responsible for pursuing, creating and maintaining client relationships, achieving sales targets, growing revenue & brand recognition for the business, and assisting with marketing initiatives.
You will be eligible to participate in the Perk Hero Sales Commission program.

Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Source new business and revenue through outbound prospecting efforts in a variety of merchant segments (including but not limited to: Food & Beverage industry, retail, health & beauty, etc)
- Proactively schedule sales meetings and demos
- Identify the needs and challenges of prospective clients
- Sell the value of our platform to prospects by articulating how our solutions meet their needs and improve the business process.
- Understand the value of our solution and pricing as well as competitive offerings
- Assist with Merchant onboarding
- Deliver high customer service and maintain high client retention through client visits, demos, training, and continuing support
- Work with marketing team to promote Perk Hero.
- Provide feedback to Perk Hero teams on the overall app/solution set based on client feedback.
- Leverage and maintain the Perk Hero CRM (Hubspot) with accurate data and record keeping practices for up to date information on clients and sales opportunities
Requirements
Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- Positive attitude with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Passionate about sales and technology
- Self-motivated, dedicated team player with innovative ideas to inspire customer adoption.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience quickly building customer relationships
- Creative problem solving under pressure when working through customer issues.
- Proficient with CRM tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce, or MixPanel
- Adaptability to work without supervision and in a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written, verbal and active listening skills
- Experience performing sales and making cold calls is an asset, but not required
- Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is an asset, but not required
