Cashier

La Win Supermarket is located in the heart of Fairview area in Vancouver. We are looking for a Full-Time Cashier with demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service with courteous and sincere demeanor. The experienced candidate would ensure accurate processing of customers’ orders at the checkout area in our supermarket.

Responsibilities:

Greet all customers in a courteous manner and ensure positive customer experience

Process cash register payments according to company policies

Maintain proper security of cash and merchandise and comply with cash handling procedures

Efficiently wrap and place merchandise in bags/carts

Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area

Handle general inquiries regarding location of products, exchange and refund policies and product knowledge with customers

Stay current with product knowledge, in store and online promotions

Requirements:

At least 6 months work experience in retail/customer service industry in a fast paced environment

Previous cash handling experience is an asset

Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form

Positive work attitude and excellent interpersonal skills

Flexible availability to work on weekends, evenings and holidays is essential

Fluency in Mandarin and English is a must

Physical Requirements:

Lifting or carrying up to 10lbs

Constant standing

Constant use of computer and point of sale system

Salary:

$16/hour
