Claims Assistant/Administrator
Summary of Position
As a Claims Assistant, you will be responsible for several tasks and duties. You will also be responsible for providing administrative support to all departments. You must be a quick learner and efficient in managing large amounts of information and paperwork in a timely manner. A high level of communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy is very important for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following tasks listed below:
· Register homes/projects under the Warranty Program
· Cancel homes/projects under the Warranty Program
· Upload documents, and follow up on missing information
· Follow up on outstanding payments
· Process and verify accuracy of information and forms
· Verify and update policy addresses
· Issue and prepare new home warranty policies
· Follow up on estimated completion dates, outstanding paperwork, and payments
· Issue confirmation letters to builders, lawyers, realtors, homeowners, bankers etc.
· Daily filing and data entry
· Answer and direct phone calls
· Answer general inquiries by phone and email
· Provide general support to builder developer clients
· Arrange for courier and other services
· Order and maintain office supplies
· Provide administrative support to departments when required
· Manages Blanket Inspection Listing updates.
· Filing Engineer’s Reports from Inspections email
· Assists team members with BC Inspection Listing updates
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge & Experience
· Office experience 2-4 years
· Data entry experience 2-4 years
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly in Word and Excel
· Second language such as Punjabi, Hindi, Chinese is an asset
