Phoenix Restorations in Coquitlam is seeking Cleaning Technicians to join our team on a part-time or full-time permanent basis.
As a Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible primarily for the cleaning and restoration of water and fire damaged homes and businesses and the carefully packing out customer contents. Excellent customer service skills, a great attitude, professional work practices and a desire to help people in need are the minimum requirements for this position. You will be able to complete all phases of the job from the paperwork through to completion, accurately and in a timely fashion and you will also perform the day-to-day restoration tasks as assigned by the Contents Manager which may include but are not restricted to, the following duties:
Following written production procedures
Daily completion and tracking of job paperwork, timesheets other necessary paperwork
Maintaining a clean and safe job site at all times
Following all relevant safety standards according to WorkSafe BC and company specific requirements
Following procedures for cleaning structures and contents and handling customers’ possessions
Packing contents up with extreme care to avoid damage
Repacking of contents after cleaning
Providing post-construction cleaning to prepare a home or business for occupancy
Updating production team and managers of any changes in project details
Removing all cleaning tools and supplies from the property
Keeping job site clean and professional, especially at the end of the day
Keeping contents department and warehouse clean and organized at all times
Maintenance, cleaning, and re-stocking of equipment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
Knowledge of the restoration or construction industry an asset but not required
Strong customer service skills with the ability to deal with customers, clients, and co-workers in sometimes stressful and high-pressure situations
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Results-oriented individual with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and time lines
Knowledge of OH&S regulations is an asset
Requirements: *
Must have a Valid BC Drivers License and clean driver’s abstract
Must have a clean criminal record as it relates to work
Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
Must be available for a rotational On-Call schedule on evenings and weekends
Must be able to work with cleaning, deodorization, and antimicrobial products on a daily basis
Able to lift heavy items up to 50lbs on a routine basis
Experience in the restoration or moving industry is an asset but not required (On the job training will be provided)
Ability to translate Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset but not required
Hours of Work: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
