We are looking for a Design & Asset Coordinator to join our team! Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be part of the Production Team on a 3D animated TV series (225 minutes of content) based on a popular existing brand which will stream on Netflix. Please note this position is open to BC residents only.
The dates for this position are from the beginning of November 2020 to the end of September 2021

Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate Design and Asset Build production activity for in-house and external teams of artists
Create breakdowns for Outlines and Scripts, evaluating and counting characters, props, locations, vehicles, FX, design requirements, etc., taking into account project assumptions and limitations
Provide weekly reports (to the Production Manager and Line Producer) on the progress of the creation of designs and assets, project asset counts, asset points remaining, etc.
Work closely with Art Director and Production Manager to analyze assignments, providing estimated time to completion, accurate due dates, workdays required and other updates to the schedules
Assign and communicate appropriate due dates to in-house and external artists based on established production schedule, flagging any concerns to Production Manager and Art Director
Ensure all tasks are assigned and tracked via Google Sheets and Shotgun, linking assets according to completed storyboards and animatics
Work with the Art Director to identify designers to take on tasks based on artists’ strengths
Take and/or track clear design notes and meeting notes, making sure they’re provided to the artists and production team for every assignment in a timely manner (within 18 hours)
Kick off artist assignments and go over how they should be submitting versions for review and approval, saving their work, entering data into Shotgun, etc.
Ensure and facilitate communication between Directors, Art Director, Artists and Production Team
Experience and Skills Required:
3-5 years experience as a Coordinator on an animation / CG project
Proficient in Shotgun and GSuite
Proven proactive problem-solving abilities
Experience working on a team in a productive, calm and kind manner
Bonus:
Korean and/or Chinese language skills and an interest in K-Pop culture
Animation and/or design skills in Maya, Photoshop (or similar CG softwares)
