Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic marketer to grow Teledyne FLIR’s machine vision camera business globally in various verticals including semiconductor inspection, life sciences, food & beverage and robotics. The Marketing Specialist would develop, implement, track and optimize campaigns across all channels including digital promotions, SEO, SEM, PR, email, social, and tradeshows. They will be responsible for understanding the business objectives, sales objectives, and new product introduction (NPI) objectives of an assigned region, plan and budget marketing programs and events and work closely with internal and external agencies to execute. Marketing Specialists are also assigned the development and project management of product launches and associated content development including editorials, web articles, videos and more. A strong grasp of current marketing tools, strategies, and the ability to lead an integrated marketing program from concept to execution are required. The incumbent will work with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Business Development to develop priorities and launch campaigns on time and on budget. Some travel is required to tradeshows and internal meetings.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Based on regional business objectives, develop and execute marketing goals and programs for assigned region
- Marketing programs would include PR, digital and traditional advertising, SEO with web content, SEM, email, social, and tradeshows.
- Measure and report performance of all marketing programs, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
- Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
- Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
- Manage and collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
- Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
- Work closely with Business Development, Sales, and Product Management to develop accurate and compelling core messaging and identify new marketing opportunities
- Assist the Marketing Director in the creation of global strategic marketing plan and budget
- Uphold and maintain the Teledyne FLIR brand
- Clearly communicate and present marketing performance to peers across the company and specifically to the Sales and Product Management teams
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor undergrad degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
- 5+ years in a marketing role working with technology products in fast paced B2B environments
- 5+ years as a marketing generalist with hands on experience in all aspects of marketing
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in a broad range of marketing disciplines from PR, editorial management, website update, email, tradeshows, media buy, and agency management
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), CRM, and web content management tools
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
- Ability to work well under pressure combined with a can-do, positive attitude
- Ability to work well in teams motivating both local and global colleagues to work efficiently while having fun
- Must be available to travel approximately 10-20 business trips per year for tradeshows, seminars, customer site visits, and internal meetings
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Global experience is a plus
- Experience in marketing automation system including Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Language skills -Fluent in Mandarin and familiar with Chinese B2B marketing practices
