Full Job Description
Reporting to the chief merchandising officer, the eCommerce assistant is responsible for implementing the merchandising strategy across different channel website. This individual will develop and execute a strategy that unites digital marketing, enhances consumer experience and engagement to drive conversion rates to meet and/or exceed targets.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Implement online merchandising strategy and manage the product assortment, assist creating digital campaigns and support key product & seasonal initiatives.
· Manage product placement and optimize navigation on website: collection pages (themes, top sellers, new arrivals) landing pages, search functions, sort order, filters etc. to increase consumer engagement and optimize conversion rates.
· Implement a merchandising calendar aligned with the brand marketing calendar.
· Uses various analytics as well as market research to assess performance and adapt merchandising plan to optimize conversion rate and meet objectives.
· Collaborate with digital marketing lead to optimize product pages for SEO and create relevant content to support merchandising calendar, build awareness and / or promotions on slow moving / discontinued products.
· Performs regular site audits to ensure correct product display, efficiency of various links and overall product set up is accurate. Tests new features and functionality as needed.
· Respond to incoming customer calls & emails in a timely and professional manner. Strive to resolve customer issues and queries at first contact and demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Education and Experience
· previous e-commerce sales and / or merchandising role preferred
· Hands-on experience launching websites – previous experience considered an asset.
· Bachelor’s or Graduate’s Degree in business, ecommerce, merchandising or related field.
· Understanding of SEO to optimize architecture and copy of websites.
· Strong knowledge of website analytics such as Google Analytics and how to interpret the findings and generate sales and profitability.
· Market analytics to spot trends in online shopping and digital marketing.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Bi-Lingual (Mandarin/Cantonese or French) is an asset

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
