English Ministry Pastor

Bethel Chinese Christian MB Church (Vancouver, BC)

We are looking for a pastor with a long term vision to grow disciples in the English congregation of our multilingual church. This role includes supporting the Senior Pastor, working with other ministry personnel, and leading the English congregation. Duties include preaching, teaching, organizing church activities and events, and engaging and supporting congregants to strengthen their faith and overcome challenges.

We are currently a small congregation who value growing together in fellowship with
God, His Word, and each other. After undergoing a new shift in leadership roles, our ministry is seeking a pastor who is passionate and called to lead and nurture our congregants in understanding His Word and living a life that glorifies God.

Successful Candidate Qualifications:

• Theological degree from an accredited school
• Adherence to the theological position of the BC Conference of Mennonite

Brethren Churches (https://bcmb.org/about/our-confession-of-faith/)

• Experience with youth and adult ministries
• Comfortable in a multilingual (Cantonese/Mandarin/English) and multigenerational environment
• Ability to communicate in Chinese is an asset but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
