We are seeking a full-time legal assistant to join our notary public office in Burnaby.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a legal assistant in a law office/notary office specializing in real estate transactions is an asset
- Must be able to speak fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
- Excellent English writing skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work under time-sensitive environments
- Exceptional organizational, communication and customer service skills
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Prepare correspondence and documents for real estate sale, purchase and mortgage transactions using conveyance software, myLTSA
- Correspond with clients, notary/law offices, banks and other offices via email and phone to schedule appointments, follow-up on file matters and document requests
- Performing general administrative responsibilities including banking errands, handling incoming and outgoing mail correspondence
- Depending on experience and skills of candidate, may provide conveyancing training
Salary commensurate with experience. Starting from $18.00 per hour
