Our BC Head Office is seeking a full-time HR Generalist who is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions.
Job Duties
- Provide daily support for HR functions and program delivery.
- Responsible for the employee recruitment, onboarding, departure, attendance and leave management.
- Implement evaluations for employees performance according to company requirements
- Assist employees with basic interpretation of company policy, employment legislation and collective agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up to date confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with ISO and all relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in conducting research to support employee and labour relations.
- Administer employee benefits plans, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee requests.
- Review and update employee rules and regulations.
- Handle employee complaints, grievances and disputes.
- Participate as a member of the HR team with people initiatives, events, and communication campaigns.
- Other job-related duties and special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in Human Resources field.
- Ability to solve problems, search for answers, ask questions and think outside the norm.
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team or individually, as required.
- Knowledge of provincial regulations including Employment Standards, BC Labour Code and the WCB Act.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality work.
- Great interpersonal skills and good ability to communicate effectively with the ability to build trusting relationships and work with integrity.
- Capable of using relevant software, such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams Meeting, etc.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin Chinese.
- BC driver’s license will be considered an asset.
