Job Introduction
As a Junior Recruiter you will aid in the development of talent pools and work closely with the Operations and senior management team to conduct Full-Cycle recruitment and on-boarding of prospective candidates. Daily activities will include but not be limited to resume screening, cold calling, drafting job ads, conducting in-person and remote digital interviews, conducting employment reference and criminal background checks, processing new hire paperwork, full on-boarding, gathering metrics, drafting daily and weekly reports, reporting to Director of Operations and collaborating with Line Managers. The position itself will involve brainstorming new recruitment sourcing channels and ways to develop talent pools in the geographical area. Other duties may include attending recruiting fairs, trade shows, conventions, conferences, and deliver presentations.
Daily Tasks, Roles & Responsibilities (Not Limited To):
Full-Cycle Recruitment
Conduct and/or oversee all recruitment related activities for Regional Office including: Sourcing, Advertising, Drafting Jobs Ads, conducting Candidate / Applicant In-Person / Remote / Digital Interviews, Conduct Background checks, attending Recruitment Fairs, Social Media Advertising, delivering recruitment presentations, and other innovative recruitment strategies.
Ensure that all applicants are pre-screened, evaluated, and processed in accordance with Logixx Security recruitment compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Create new hire packages
Complete projects for Logixx Security recruitment plans: setting timetables, schedules, data entry, report records
Updating recruitment tracking files, folders, shared documents
Will be required to facilitate onboarding/orientation programs for new employees including delivering presentations and high-level communications summaries
Support training deliverable
Maintaining employee files (create employee files for new hires, gathering all documents and filing all paper documentation)
Review and modify existing new hire documents to remain current with provincial and federal legislation
Co-ordinate uniform requirements for existing staff and uniform new guards in accordance with Logixx policies and procedures
Other day-today administrative tasks, duties, and responsibilities including drafting offer letters, new hire documentation, orientation, and scheduling for on-line training.
Meet periodically / regularly with Operations Team – Schedulers, Operations Managers, Directors, for discussions of recruitment human capital needs, appropriate placement, overtime control, and forecasting/meeting the staffing needs of the company and clients.
Liaison between new hires and Operations / Company pertaining to HR related inquiries
Support retention initiatives by executing programs to improve employee morale, satisfaction, productivity, and retention
Develop and Execute Quarterly Recruitment strategies (Nationally)
Updating job requirements for job postings to ensure unique posting and creative Ads to differentiate from competitors
Conduct disciplinary meetings with field employees as required

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
Completion of a University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management or Business is Preferred)
Minimum one-year work-related experience in a Human Resources Recruitment role within a staffing agency, security industry, or related/ equivalent work environment is required.
If well versed with recruitment strategies, policies, procedures, recruitment cycles, and frameworks regarding equity, diversity, inclusion, and fair & equal hiring practices.
Expertise in the application of legislation including employment standards, Human Rights, Health & Safety, Employment Equity, Privacy Legislation, and Labor Relations Board.
Basic understanding of contract law
Knowledge of local policies and regulations as it pertains to recruitment for British Columbia.
Basic Requirements:
Completion of a University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management or Business Management / Administration is preferred)
Minimum one-year full-time hands-on work-related experience in a Human Resources Recruitment role within a staffing agency, security industry, or related/ equivalent work environment is required.
Expertise in the application of legislation including employment standards, Human Rights, Health & Safety, Employment Equity and Privacy Legislation.

1-2 years of Recruitment, HR related/ equivalent experience
1-2 years of Security Industry related experience
1-2 years of Administrative HR related experience
Is willing to learn, adapt and communicate with various departments.
Has strong sense of emotional intelligence, interpersonal, analytical skills and is detailed oriented
Has a proven ability to multi-task, is highly organized, and can strive in a fast paced, demanding dynamic work environment and handle stress and pressure to meet deadlines
Bi / Tri – Lingual – Considered an Asset **
Strong technical, computer skills and abilities
Other Related Attributes That Would Enhance Hiring Considerations
Spoken Languages – English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi, Urdu, Tagalog, Hindi, Spanish, would be considered an asset when dealing with prospective candidates
Professional recruitment certification or equivalent is an asset.
Prior security-related management experience in a national environment.
Experience supervising in a unionized workforce is an asset
Previous experience implementing and managing an Applicant Tracking System.
