We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant, who has a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices, and be able to perform a wide range of accounting tasks with moderate supervision.
Responsibilities:
· Financial Record-keeping: The intermediate accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. This includes recording all financial transactions, verifying the accuracy of data, and reconciling accounts.
· Financial Reporting: The intermediate accountant prepares financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and ensures that they are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
· Tax Compliance: The intermediate accountant is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This involves preparing and filing tax returns and keeping abreast of changes in tax laws.
· Financial Analysis: The intermediate accountant analyzes financial data to identify trends and make recommendations to improve financial performance. This may involve creating financial models and forecasts, conducting variance analysis, and assessing the financial impact of business decisions.
· Audit Support: The intermediate accountant provides support during audits by gathering and presenting financial data, answering auditor questions, and ensuring that all relevant documentation is available.
· Communication: The intermediate accountant communicates financial information to various stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies. This may involve preparing reports and presentations, answering questions, and providing guidance on financial matters.
Requirements:
· Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
· 2-5 years of work experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, budgeting and forecasting, cost accounting, tax preparation, or auditing
· Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other industry-specific accounting software
· Understanding of Mandarin is definitely as an asset
· Advanced skills in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, data manipulation, and reporting
· Able to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues or discrepancies in financial records
· Able to interpret financial reports, perform variance analysis, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
· Accuracy and attention to detail are very crucial
