We are searching for a project coordinator with proven experience working with development teams, managing a product roadmap, and prioritizing a backlog of development requests. The ideal candidate is a team player who gathers, validates, and manages requirements to translate them into a feasible solution.
The Project Coordinator will support the planning and execution of IT projects and provides communication and support to the project management team, development teams, and senior management team. They will also provide support and coordination of the rollout of new features in each version release.
What are your responsibilities?
- Provide weekly updates to the project management team, engineering team, and other internal stakeholders on the status of pending deliverables
- Ensuring deliverables adhere to the planned timeline and notify internal stakeholders if any delays arise
- Assist with requirement gathering, translating user requirements into technical specifications, and planning the development of new features
- Assist the product team with managing the product backlog and prioritizing features for each release
- Ensure each feature request is properly documented throughout the SDLC
- Document each feature request ensuring that proper documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project
- Communicating plans, actions, risks, and issues with key internal stakeholders
- Managing and building relationships with multiple cross-functional teams
- Assisting the project management team with administrative functions and processes
- Managing day-to-day activities for the project management team
- Analyzing project data and producing progress reports
Who are we looking for?
- 2+ years of experience managing internal projects and/or working with development teams.
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Candidates must live in Greater Vancouver and are legally allowed to work for any employer in Canada.
- Previous coding/developer experience is an asset
- Previous experience in cyber security is an asset.
- Experience with productivity tools, such as Asana, Trello and Azure DevOps is an asset.
- Certified Associate in Project Management CAPM or formal project management training is an asset.
- ITIL Foundation Certification is an asset.
- Ability to speak Mandarin is an asset.
