Reporting to the controller, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions for the operations at a Canadian, locally owned Manufacturer based in Richmond, BC. The role includes ensuring the recording of accurate and timely transactions and assisting in month end processes and activities. You will be responsible for the daily production yield rate calculation, production labor cost allocation, and daily finished goods actual cost computation. Also included in this role is general office support and working with the accounting team on ad-hoc projects.
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Cost accounting and reporting
- AP – Vendor’s payments, statements and account setups
- Inventory receiving and intercompany transfer
- Reconcile intercompany inventory movement on a daily basis.
- Assist in month end process – sales cut-off verification and complete WIP transactions
- Working closely with the accounting team on ad-hoc projects
- General support, filing and general administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year accounting experience
- Diploma in accounting
- Willing to enroll in CPA program
- Experience in manufacturing an asset
- Excellent English and interpersonal communication skills
- Cantonese speaking (very strong asset)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
